Here are some facts about our company that impress our customers and continue to bring us wonderful referrals:

• All sidewalk & patio concrete work is poured 5-6″ thick using rebar with a hand swirled finish.  Unlike the less time consuming “broom finish”, the swirl finish is a more appealing look to compliment your new pool.
• We only use super steel walls with a lifetime warranty.  We dare you to compare!
• Why do we use a vermiculite floor versus concrete?   Sand/Cement grout mixes produce a concrete that is not porous, and that will not let water pass through it when hydrostatic pressures build up under the bottom of your pool. These kinds of pressures caused by high water tables and heavy rain can break the concrete and leave small hairline cracks and larger more obvious flaws. The sharp, brittle edges of broken concrete will cut and wear down soft vinyl liners eventually requiring liner replacements and when the liner is replaced, the bottom also will have to be patched and repaired. For over thirty years, vermiculite has been used in the construction of vinyl liner swimming pools. Essentially after the walls of the pools are positioned, vermiculite is mixed with Portland cement and then troweled on the “bottom” of the pool in both the shallow and deep sections.
• We complete our superior pool package by including our recommended 27 mill liner.  38 or 40 mill liners are only recommended for total concrete floors as they are abrasive with movement
• Our pumps & filters are manufactured by Pentair because we feel they are superior in quality.  Other brands are available by request.  Every filter is placed on a concrete poured pad with ample room to include a heater or any other component you may add at the time of purchase or at a later time.
• We use very high quality steps & swim-outs which exceed the less expensive plastic.
• All pools are backfilled before the concrete walk/patio is poured & again after we are finished with the poured concrete.
• In addition to the steel supports designed to support the concrete walk that surrounds your pool, we install concrete piers in efforts for the best, long lasting sidewalk.
• Our electrical service is top notch & not on a 4×4 wooden post with a switch!  You will have a control panel with a 60 amp service with a timer so you won’t have to deal with remembering to turn your filter of & on.  It will also include a 110V receptacle as well as 2 open circuit breakers for additional outdoor lighting.
• All of our pools include (2) skimmers & (3) returns so you have the optimum water circulation and the highest level of safety.
• Ahner Pools is well educated on the ever changing code regulations enforced by your town or township and take every measure so there is no delay due to failed inspections.
• Some of our other services to complete your backyard paradise include fencing, colored and or patterned concrete and retaining walls.  There is no need to deal with several different contractors on your property.
